i. want. this. clutch.

As impractical wrist loop clutches are... I have lusted after one ever since SJP sported one in SATC.

It's grey, it's snakeskine, it has a light brushed gold finish... *sigh* ....

The snake embossed hard shell has a contrasting luscious satin lining - beautiful!

£69 @ Reiss
bonus! it's available @ asos.com

Liberty's Open Day

Wow!! I am thoroughly impressed by Liberty's new initiative (which was a nice marketing move) to support British talent.

According to Drapers:
"Liberty will host an open day where up and coming designers will have the opportunity to present their ranges to its buying team and battle for a chance to be stocked in the department store."
'The Best of British Design Open Call' will take place April 25th at the store from 10am-3pm on the 4th floor. Wont there be a stampede?

Pretty Green: ... really.... ?

It's been over a week since the announcement of Liam Gallagher's menswear line designed ... i think i guffawed when i heard and dismissed it and was in denial - how could he!?

but here's the video with the man himself explaining how "i'm not gonna be anything out unless i wear it".

i'm sorry but, since when was he a style icon? he's probably chosen the best time to do this to be honest considering the lust for the 90s, so all i say is nice timing and very curious to see what will be on offer.

Mag du jour

On the other side of the water, there appears to have been an equally interesting mag launch: Dujour mag also focuses on new emerging design talent. It's all quite cutesy in its handwriting and quirky in its camapign... this made me chuckle:

but anyway, to the point - much cutesier and quirky in its branding compared with 'lurve' but that isn't a bad thing. Available digitally and ye olde paper format with three lush covers to choose from - it boasts it is America's first independent magazine that is available internationally.... and the added bonus of being eco-friendly. how? because primarily... they work on a digital distribution basis but do not limit themselves there. They have a print-on-demand service, so if you fancy a print copy of the mag - one will be posted out to you fresh out the printer. that is quite a clever idea... i like it! eco-friendly indeed, they definitely sway you more to the digital edition option with a rather hefty price tag of $35 for the print copy versus $9.99 for an annual digital subscription. (granted it is "print on demand" and a bi-monthly - so i see why the price is steep). if only i had some pennies in the bank - i'd love to see more.

Lurve Magazine #1 ..... i await you

Lurve magazine, a new independent magazine, will be launching its debut issue next month in Paris with talks of it being made available in Selfridges (London). Its focus is new emerging talent in the fashion and art industry.

got to bag me a mag!! very strange how the front cover has a very scary resemblence to something i designed for a mag front cover at uni 2 years ago...

HOSPITAL : antwerp

I forgot how ridiculously rich in knowledge superfuture is! This must be my last scout on there otherwise I will be blogging endlessly.... So, superfuture has just reported about this fascinating new retail concept in Antwerp (of course): "HOSPITAL". On arrival at HOSPITAL's website... the alternate retailing experience begins with a seemingly endless video campaign beautifully shot in black and white, fading in and out of focus like an amateur camera artiste. Fascinating. The alternate retail experience continues through to the store... as superfuture reports - the store features high end labels, belgian and international designers housed in a former warehouse which also accommodates a wine bar, restaurant and 3 luxury b&b!

At least I know where to stay on my next trip to Antwerp now ;)

ANTI SWEDEN

Surfing hintmag.com, I come across the brains behind one of their multimedia fashion features (i'm a huge fan of them)... the design agency is called 'Anti Design' and does not limit itself to just as the name would suggest. ANTI SWEDEN, featured in superfuture and hintmag shop, focus on its staple black (unisex) skinny jean as its core selling piece, launching earlier this year with the limited edition anti sweden 666 jean.

The branding is beautifully executed with illustration from Justin Bartlett marking every piece of the campaign jigsaw.. from the double spread ads to the inner pocket design of the jeans. Being born out of a fashion marketing degree - i am thoroughly intrigued and very geekly excited by what I see:

All campaign work designed by Anti. Photography by: Alex Freund. Illustrations by Justin Bartlett.

the love for suede continues

i saw these in a mag the other day and thought ooooOOooo!! and i see them again in my inbox and i just love them - i love the vintage look about them , like u couldve easily picked it up in a cookey lil vintage boutqiue in berlin and no-one would ever know where you found such marvellous shoes!

anyway, they are actually by office. £80, not such a cute vintage bargain price.

TEAMO

I'm still loving the novelty of New High (M)art.com .. on my latest visit I have discovered TEAMO.
A mexican duo worth watching I think.

This oversized sheer tank $88 is lush, props to the styling:

Fringe tank top $132 would look fabbulouuus with anything:

oh my heart is sad wanting all these lovely things...

pixie market

i love love love this place...
i especially love the graphic printed leather detail legging and the silk/leather mix colour block dress.

absolutely fab pieces but they are a bit pricey working in the $... the dress reatils at $185 but really it looks so worth it.
