I absolutely adore Balenciaga. All, the time. The construction, the materials... if you're interested in Ghesquiere for Balenciaga, watch this.
Thoughts of a young fashion professional, getting lost in all the things beautiful.

Paris catch-up: YSL
I know it's delayed but here are my favourites from the show:
How did the models see beyond their nose-skimming fringes?? looked hot still.
love these big bell sleeves :

hint of blue is yummy. my colour of the moment.
the mannish trousers look relaxed but chic
sheer blouse teamed with the most fabulous trousers

Love for Giambattista
For me, Giambattista Valli connotes: exquisite, yummy and edible fashions. This show is no different.

So it seems the aysmmetric/big-slit-up-one-leg is a common theme. Jutting waists and circular raglan sleeves - love it.

Alexander McQueen <3
So it appears I consistently fall in love anything bird-inspired (ironically I hate certain bird species - namely pigeons - they put bird species to shame and should go away) but we know I loved the whole ostrich thing last season, now Alexander McQueen re-introduces the peacock into my life. What a royal show! Yes, McQueen you always inspire and always make me fall for your designs... one of my favourite ever designers and he didn't fail with this season's show.Backstage photos courtesy of Vogue:

absolutely adore these two pieces:

(Remind you of anyone? Queen Elizabeth I perhaps?)

Paris catch-up continued: Maison Martin Margiela
Beginning the show with an unconventional body suit layered with an asymmetric fishnet dress, Margiela mish-mashed expectations with a stunning black dress cut to the thigh on one side - yet loosely fitted on the other:
I desperately want this!!! But, back to the show...
Exaggerated (and i mean exaggerated) necklines were the key feature paired with diagonal layering:
