...and my bottoms obsession continues...

So i'm clearly being brainwashed as I work away in the casual bottoms buying department ... i trawl pages and pages of mags, tears, blogs, online stores to find fascinating, inspirational product (that's in my spare time though mostly as the working day comprises of ... critical path, critical path!!!)... and come across some fabulous leggings featured in this month's Vogue. Unfortunately, Styleserver's platform doesn't really do them any justice whatsoever (but look stunning in the shoot with ms. dahlia believe me) ..

lush!

And if you like the old paperbag waist shape that adorned many s/s 09 shows... (i know it's VERY late to be mentioning that as it's all about a/w 09 now..) here's one, uber eccentric .. almost vase/tulip shaped (?!) one for you:

leather insert obsession

i have already blogged about the belle sauvage leather and print insert leggings that i lusted after on pixiemarket.com.......and now it's the turn of the 'leopard by belle sauvage black leather leggings', available to purchase on belle sauvage's online shop.

I have been stalking them since I realised the print insert leggings were sold out ... and also cost a whole lot more.

This has a £69 price tag and i cannot waitttttt to purchase. i'm dying to, it hurts.

Belle sauvage, also available at asos.com

i love love love this place...
i especially love the graphic printed leather detail legging and the silk/leather mix colour block dress.

absolutely fab pieces but they are a bit pricey working in the $... the dress reatils at $185 but really it looks so worth it.

New High (M)art

I've just stumbled across a fabulous online boutique with a similar feel and branding that i'm looking into starting.... (thanks to hintmag).

Its name is New High (M)art. A boutique in LA's chinatown and recently having launched the online shop - I feel a little beaten as they've launched with just the kind of retro, quirky feel with a mix of high end and 'unknown'/cult designers as i had wished - marketing nearly all of their product as unisex (the right way to go if you ask me after my dissertation last year looking into merging sexes and blurring of gender boundaries.... ). It is.. fantastic.

Blurring the boundaries between art, commerce and fashion it showcases its many undiscovered fashion talents using gallery-esque techniques a la Colette (Paris).
"This has seen the opening of several back-to-back brand-in-residencies, designer retrospectives and curated thematic moments. The space itself is completely re-imagined for each edition to further reinforce the featured direction." (New High Mart)
New High (M)art highlights:

Bizarre little bindi sets/facial... decorative bits!? -->

All by FACE

Brian Lichtenberg

Costume Dept

Pastel Colour Ethnic Necklace - it's so juicy looking!

And the list could go on and on..................! !!

I'd like to end on this... :

Chiapas Mini Zapatista Mini Doll

Very random, but its this kind of all round niche products that really appeal to me in such a boutique.
Congrats to High End (M)art for creating a fantastic little boutique, look forward to seeing much more of this :)
