SATC stylist Patricia Field has turned to... well, Coca Cola.. and has designed them a limited edition set of glass bottles.
Exclusively available in Selfridges from tomorrow, you can get the chance to have your limited edition bottle signed by Patricia Field herself on Friday 16th May (Ground floor - stationary: Selfridges, London).
"Patricia Field explains: “The ‘diet Coke’ City Collection captures today's modern women, confidant, glamorous, sexy and more in charge of their own lives, and represents the areas of life that are most important to them such as: ‘career’, ‘passion’, ‘love’ and ‘fashion’. In addition the designs represent ‘diet Coke’ as a sexy, sassy brand perfectly compatible with today's woman.
The gold bottle represents ‘Career’, the red bottle ‘Passion’, the pink bottle ‘Love’, and the turquoise bottle ‘Fashion’." [Selfridges & Co.]
Erm, yeah, OK...let's face it - if it weren't for the name (SATC extraordinaire P. Field)... i wouldn't care too much for these Diet Coke bottles. How does a pouting gold woman denote career, and lip-stick-applying purple figure connote love? I guess a coked-up-looking turquoise woman might represent one part of 'fashion'... and the red 'passion' i can only say must be a seriously FIERY, ANGRY passion!!
Nevertheless, collectable items indeed, you can't knock Patricia Field for trying out something new.

Patricia Field designs coke bottles depicting modern women.... who are all white. Interesting seeing as women come in black, brown, yellow, etc...
good point sugabelly.. wonder why that was! i'm wondering if it was more a case of depicting the sex and the city characters.. in which case, maybe she shouldn't have chosen the generic words 'modern woman' to describe the illustrations.
I must get them!!! would look great sitting on my shelf LOL
