i <3 Christopher Kane

He hasn't disappointed so far... Kane has a lot to live up to and he smashed this show once again .. I know it's late to upload as it was last week but i'm still going to share it on here anyway.

The unashamed shapes and discs offset from the tight silhouettes - just yum. The only thing I wasn't keen at at Christopher Kane was the fluffy trims......... I haven't included pics of these... x

Gianfranco Ferre S/S 09 mmmmhmmm.....

lush stuff at gianfranco as per usual...

Charles Anastase brilliance

Why am I so out the loop?? Why didn't I already know about this hotly anticipated fabulous designer Charles Anastase???

Well, thanks to Vogue / LFW I now know about Mr. Anastase... and what an impressive CV I read on his website: http://www.charlesanastase1979.com/history.html. He didn't graduate from LCF nor a wonderboy from CSM.. but he began his career illustrating featuring in Purple and Dazed to name just two. He turned to styling and then eventually designing et voila, he has a clientele list from:Rei Kawakubo to Yoko Ono and he collaborated with Comme des Garcons to produce window installations at Dover Street Market - and we all know how impressive these are...

Without further ado, here are my favourites from the show:

cool geek chic. so cliche but yet so fabulous. i love the combination throughout the show of geek and sex. suspenders peeking under sheer minis - oo!

I want the whole of outfit 3 and 4. xx

preeeen

I love the new york chicness of preen... the clean lines and sumptuous fluidity.

This makes me Reiss... no doubt we'll see some preen copies in Reiss next season!

I'm loving this body con strong orange piece, fluid skirted dress with risque appropriately placed lines of fabric as if doodling across a canvas...

love love love this next week. nude tones and asymmetric frills upon frills upon frills........

adoring the asymmetric tiered ruffles and imbalanced upper

this gothic piece is oozing seduction with the sheer overlay chiffon... it deceives the eye and makes you think of stockings don't u think?

ROME by Romero Bryan

Romero Bryan showed his Rome by Romero Bryan line off at New York Fashion Week yesterday and woooo the new collection for s/s '09 looks hot!

Taken from his facebook... I've just nabbed a few promo shots of his new collection, forgive me Romero but I just think they're beautiful shots. So here goes:

Behind the scenes shot:
I just adore the fluidity of the garments created by the sheer chiffon and silks... and the beautiful Swarovski crystals add 'pow' and sheer elegance. Just divine.

Can't wait to see more Romero! :) xx

New York Fashion Week S/S '09 - WANG

Alexander Wang offered some delights this season:

loving this risque sheer dress with appropriately placed squiggles reminiscent of those 80s music videos....

and these figure hugging sex dresses are definitely on the wish list:

S/S '09 favourites .... Ann-Sofie back, of course

The shows have begun, and one of my favourites designers is up first! woop. i must say i think her 2008 shows were way better... not as wow'd by this show but nevertheless, skill and yummy draping is always a winner with me.

1 month on...

...hi readers. well, since my posts a lot has happened.

i graduated and travelled (parts of) the world... as in previous posts you'll see i visited the immense, shopping capital (of the world, in my opinion) HONG KONG..

...followed by the most relaxing and incredible holiday on a beautiful island KO SAMUI.

Then, I went to Italy... I visited Rome, Florence and Milan.
The Colosseum was incredible ... Florence a little boring though picturesque of course... Milan? Disappointing compared to HK!

So, for the fashion update. The shows are coming up soon.. very excited about that but for now, I'd like to share with you highlights from the "2008 PolyU Fashion Show" I went to, hosted by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

One of my favourites was the collection 'multi-' by Ng Yan Yee Winnie:

[front]>
[back]>The craftsmanship is unique and the diamond pleats and origami shapes are just yummy.

More to report on... but it has taken an age to upload all those photos on mobile broadband... so I'll try to upload more young HK designers I thought were particularly exciting asap! x
