The reason for my erratic blogging lately is due to the fact I'd been working solidly on
L'Oreal Brandstorm with little sleep running up to the competition. My team were through to the National Finals that took place on 30th April 2008 and we were 1 of 8 teams that went ahead to present in a semi-final to major L'Oreal employees and execs.

Our semi final was judged by Jennifer Peters, HR Director; Laure De Saintignon, Senior Product Manager of Active Cosmetics UK and Ben Clapp, of EURO RSCG.
The semi-final jury loved our idea and selected us to go through to the final later that day, head to head with a competing team from Cambridge university.

In the meantime, we had to set up a stall with all our promotional material and marketing ideas to sell our brand/products to L'Oreal employees. The employees then voted for their favourite team and later the team would be awarded with the People's Choice Award.

At 5pm, the National Final was to go ahead and we were up first. Presenting in front of even more L'Oreal employees, fellow teams, HR Director Richard Humphrey, Managing Director of Active Cosmetics of UK & Ireland Laurence Pardieu-Duthil and Art Director of EURO RSCG Russell Schalier.... we 'wow'ed the audience with our proposal.

The whole day was loads of fun and non-stop! It was exciting and such an amazing experience networking and getting recognised by L'Oreal execs... The overall result?
We
won the People's Choice Award. And came 2nd place in the National Final. The team from Cambridge - Blue Adynamics won with their Vichy Homme Capital Soleil solution...

All in all, a great experience.
Congrats to the other girls from Trent that also got to the UK National finals :)
